Jamie Linley er en samtidskunstner, hvis arbejde spænder over flere medier – herunder oliemaleri på lærred og plade samt værker på papir.

Siden 2020 har Jamie udvidet sin praksis til også at omfatte store vægmalerier og anvender sin omfattende erfaring fra atelieret til at skabe levende kunst i det offentlige rum.

”The Volunteer” på Rædersgade 3 i Horsens, er et gavlværk skabt særligt i anledning af Royal Run, da begivenheden var en god mulighed for at markere den indsats som frivillige ildsjæle og foreninger har bidraget med i Horsens gennem årene. ”The Volunteer” hylder de hænder som har løftet kulturlivet i byen og fortsat gør det. Værket er en del af MÆRK Byens street art indsats i byen.

Værket er blevet til i samarbejde med kunstbureauet Kolossal.

Jamie Linley is a contemporary artist whose work spans multiple media – including oil painting on canvas and board, as well as works on paper.

Since 2020, Jamie has expanded his practice to include large-scale murals, applying his extensive studio experience to create vibrant art in public spaces.

“The Volunteer”, located at Rædersgade 3 in Horsens, is a mural created especially for the occasion of Royal Run. The event provided an opportunity to highlight the dedication of volunteers and local associations who have contributed to Horsens’ community over the years. “The Volunteer” celebrates the hands that have lifted the city’s cultural life – and continue to do so. The work is part of MÆRK Byen’s street art initiative in Horsens.

The artwork was created in collaboration with the art agency Kolossal.
