‘Walking a tightrope’
En af Danmarks mest garvede (og anonyme) street art kunstnere, HuskMitNavn, var forbi Horsens i sommeren 2024, og male 3 nye fede gavlværker til byen.
Værket på Villavej blev til som en del af et “open call”, hvor MÆRK Byen søgte to gavle til værker med HuskMitNavn. Det var oprindeligt naboerne til ejerne af gavlen på Villavej, der meldte ind med deres private gavl. Men da kunstneren skulle vælge, var han blevet lun på naboens facade istedet – og det var naboerne heldigvis med på.
Da kunstneren bag HuskMitNavn er anonym, var det hemmeligt, hvornår han kom til byen. Værket på Villavej dukkede derfor op en tidlig morgen til stor glæde for kvarteret omkring Villavej.
HuskMitNavn udstiller ofte på anerkendte gallerier i ind- og udland, men står også bag masser gadekunst i det offentlige rum, der med sin enkle streg og humoristiske undertoner puffer til vores dagligdagsmønstre med et glimt i øjet.

‘Walking a tightrope’
One of Denmarks most experienced (and anonymous) street art-artists named HuskMitNavn, came to Horsens in the summer of 2024 and painted three new murals for the city.
The mural on Villavej was a part of an open call, where MÆRK Byen looked for two walls in Horsens on which HuskMitNavn could paint his murals. The neighbours of the house that was chosen originally nominated their own wall. But when the artist had to choose he wanted to paint, he saw more potential in the chosen house. Luckily the neighbours were onboard with the idea.
Since HuskMitNavn is an anonymous artist nobody knew when he would show up, so one morning the residents of Villavej woke up to a mural painted on the house.
HuskMitNavn exhibits his artwork at galleries in Denmark and the rest of the world. He had made multiple murals in the general public. He tries to reflect everyday patterns with a humorus twist.
